‘Emerging Voices 2026’ - a training partnership between Powerd Media, Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) Canberra and Radio 1RPH. This Canberra program trained five people with disability to improve their storytelling confidence and capacity. The training focused on developing audio storytelling skills and creating entry level radio packages. Our facilitators were Adrienne Francis at ABC Studios and William Gleeson at the two 1RPH. This blog features the main auido program developed over the series by Belinda O'Connor and stories added overtime.

For listen and download - this 9 min track is my interview with Ann, an ACT bioptic driver and Kim, an ACT driving instructor with Fifth Gear Motoring.

For listening is an interview with Alice Matthews at ABC 666 Canberra on Wednesday 4 August 2026 to premiere my radio package for Emerging Voices. Listen to the interview where I describe what the bioptic glasses look like and what we want from the current review of the national medical driving guidelines
